Unlike cement mortar, ceramic tile adhesive can form small pore structure during the drying process, which can largely resist shrinkage deformation. In addition, the ceramic tile adhesive and the back of the ceramic tile firmly adhere the ceramic tile to the base layer through mechanical engagement and chemical adsorption.
It is not foolproof to use tile adhesive. Improper use will also cause brick falling. Many times, cement mortar bricks fall off because its performance cannot meet the requirements of tiling; The reason why the tiles are glued off is that the construction is not standardized or the correct type of tile adheisve is not selected. So although the ceramic tile adhesive is good, the construction should also be standardized to give full play to the excellent performance of ceramic tile adhesive and ensure that the tiling is firm and durable!

Due to the poor condition of the base layer (such as poor waterproof strength, oily waterproof, direct tiling without cleaning the putty layer, etc.), it is very likely that there will be hollowing between the ceramic tile adhesive and the base layer. At this time, once vibration or deformation stress is generated, this force will be transferred between the ceramic tile and the ceramic tile adhesive, which will destroy its adsorption effect and may lead to the "bare" separation of the ceramic tile.

Some special application parts (flue, pipe, etc.) or flexible base (such as light partition wall, etc.) are easy to cause vibration, deformation, cracks, etc. The ceramic tile adhesive with good flexibility should be selected for these parts. When the ceramic tile adhesive is not flexible enough, the adsorption between the ceramic tile adhesive and the ceramic tile will gradually collapse, resulting in the separation of the ceramic tile.

Tile back sticking method has high hollowing rate, and the tile adhesive is too thick. The shrinkage stress of ceramic tile adhesive is uneven or too large during the drying process, which leads to the loosening between ceramic tile adhesive and ceramic tile.

Ceramic tile adhesive is made of a variety of raw materials evenly mixed, and its bonding performance has been proved by a large number of experiments. If cement and other substances are added into it, the ability of ceramic tile adhesive to absorb ceramic tiles will be greatly reduced.

The mold release agent, dust or stone back mesh are not cleaned. There is a slight air interlayer between the tile adhesive and the back of the tile, and the tile adhesive and the tile cannot be fully and tightly occluded, which will also cause the tile to fall off.

It is strictly prohibited to use shovel, stick, etc. for manual mixing of ceramic tile glue, and electric mixer shall be used for mixing. In addition, the manual mixing of water must continue to add water once the dough appears, which indirectly changes the proportion of the ceramic tile adhesive, so that the adhesive force of the ceramic tile adhesive decreases.

After the ceramic tile adhesive is mixed, it is generally allowed to stand for about 5~10 minutes, and the second mixing can increase the strength. There are two functions of standing here: one is to eliminate the air brought in during the mixing process, and the other is to make the ceramic tile adhesive fully mature, which is conducive to maximize the adhesive force of the ceramic tile adhesive.
The operating time of ceramic tile adhesive under standard conditions (20 ℃, 50% humidity) is about 3 hours. It is better to use up the mixed ceramic tile adhesive within 1-2 hours, otherwise the original bonding effect will be lost. Tile glue shall be used as soon as it is stirred.

In order to save time, some workers scrape and apply tile adhesive on the base layer in a large area, and then carry out flow-type tiling. The scratch area is too large, and the construction is too late to cause the surface to dry and solid, and then the tiling will cause the brick to fall off. The cement paste should be evenly scraped on the working surface with a tooth-shaped scraper. Each construction should be within 1 ㎡. The wall should be pre-wetted in dry outdoor weather.

Toothed scraper shall be used for the construction of ceramic tile adhesive, and the adhesive shall be applied on the working surface from the bottom to the top in order to make it evenly distributed and form uniform stripes. The height of each face brick shall be moved up in turn.
The ceramic tile adhesive is suitable for thin layer construction. Select the appropriate tooth-shaped scraper according to the flatness of the base and the size of the ceramic tile. When pasting, knead and press it in place, and randomly check the full paste rate of the back.
